Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park set in 27 acres of mixed woodland, is the wild animal conservation centre of southern Scotland. A varied collection of nearly 150 animals from all over the world can be seen within the peaceful and natural settings where the woodland has been tailored to provide large and imaginative enclosures. Open from 1st February to 30th November. 10am to dusk daily (last admission 6.00pm).
Mountain biking has something for everyone – from easy woodland rides to the exhilaration of a downhill trail. It’s a great way to keep fit and at the 7stanes you can enjoy some of Scotland’s fine forest scenery at the same time. Mountain biking can be enjoyed by the whole family and at the 7stanes we have trails to cater for all ages and all abilities. If you’re new to the sport, we’ve provided some information below to help you get started.

Discover wonderful woods, water, hills and history at Glentrool and enjoy tranquil views over lochs and hills at Clatteringshaws. Kirroughtree and Glentrool are also home to two of the world-famous 7stanes mountain bike trail centres.
