Bladnoch Distillery

Bladnoch Distillery is a Single malt Scotch whisky distillery in south west Scotland. It is one of six remaining Lowland distilleries, located at Bladnoch, near Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway. The distillery is situated on the banks of the River Bladnoch, and is the most southerly whisky distillery in Scotland.

Crafty Distillery

Enjoy a tour of our distillery, learn how we make our very own spirit from scratch and discover the process for making our gin. After the tour you will enjoy a perfect serve of our Hills & Harbour Gin, followed by a gin tasting. This features three of our very own experimental Crafty Distillery gins designed to taste your palette.

Annandale Distillery

Established in 1836, we’re one of Scotland’s oldest operating distilleries. Located close to the Scotland-England border, we’re also the first (and last) distillery in Scotland.Whilst in the ownership of the famous Johnnie Walker, Annandale Distillery closed in 1918. Rescued by David Thomson & Teresa Church in 2007, this once derelict distillery sprang back into life on November 3rd, 2014. Three years later, on Wednesday November 15th, 2017, we filled the first ‘new era’ bottle of Annandale Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

 


The Harbour Inn, Garlieston

The Harbour Inn Garlieston is a traditional Scottish Inn dating back to the 1700’s, overlooking the harbour in the village of Garlieston. The Inn boasts a delightful bar, with uninterrupted sea views with roaring fire, vast range of Beers, Ales, Whiskeys, Spirits, Wines and Soft drinks. The two dining rooms are tastefully decorated for lunches and evening meals. Our evening menu boasts a large selection of Starters, Mains and Sweets as well as a Daily Special’s Menu.

 


The Steam Packet, Isle of Whithorn

The ‘Packet’ is renowned for its food with an extensive menu served in either bar, lower dinning room or conservatory. The specials menu is changed twice daily and focuses on making use of the best available, local, Scottish produce through the seasons. Unsurprisingly, we specialise in seafood; taking advantage of what the local boats can provide. Lobster, crab, sole and monkfish are just some of the dishes regularly served here. A wide selection of drinks are available from the bar including our award winning real ales, we are the 2013 area and region CAMRA pub of the year winners, extensive selection of malt whiskies and comprehensive wine list of which we serve at least nine by the glass. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are served all day.

The Pheasant, Sorbie

Voted Galloway Restaurant of the Year 2017 at The Scottish Food Awards, Flavours of the World award and 3 heart recommendation. Born and bred in Naples Andrea’s cooking reflects his upbringing submerged in the rich culture of Italy. The menu is a combination of authentic Italian dishes inspired by his home kitchen as well as innovative recipes featuring an interesting twist.

The Clansman Restaurant, Port William

 The Clansman Restaurant serve quality food at reasonable prices in a friendly, relaxed environment. Seasonal produce and, wherever possible, they source their ingredients locally. They offer something for everyone, including a broad range of gluten free dishes; ideal for any one with food intolerances.

The Smithy, New Galloway

For those who haven’t found us yet, the Smithy is a family run traditional tearoom, a little gem not to be missed. We are lucky enough to be situated in a lovely garden setting with a charming riverside location. We aim to provide all you would look for in a tearoom and more. Our gift shop also has a good selection of gift ideas many from local crafts people.

 


Riverbank Restaurant, Newton Stewart

The Riverbank has been a popular pitstop next to the River Cree for over a decade, with free parking due to its proximity to Newton Stewart’s two largest supermarkets. The interior is pretty and traditional, with an old fashioned ‘tearoom‘ vibe.

Designs Gallery and Café – Castle Douglas

The café at Designs is downstairs from the shop and is the ideal place to relax, read the papers, enjoy delicious coffees and speciality teas, and sample from our wide menu of home cooking. We bake our own bread using organic flours and make fresh cakes daily. We serve specials and home made soup at lunchtime every day.

The View, Port William

Port William Inshore Rescue Service has a brand new building on the harbour green in Port William – housing a coffee and gift shop with amazing views. Ice cream and slush also available.

Isle Futures

Isle Futures, the community – led registered charity based in the Isle of Whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway has been successful in its ‘Investing in Communities’ funding application to the Big Lottery to develop the community-owned St Ninian’s Hall. It is one of 15 projects across Scotland receiving a total of over £8 million from the Big Lottery Fund.
